The 2027 Women's World Cup bracket, with 32 teams divided into 8 pools across North America.

The road to the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup is officially taking shape. During a globally streamed draw event, the tournament’s 32 qualified national teams were placed into eight pools, creating the matchups that will define one of the most anticipated competitions in women’s sports. Hosted by the United States and Canada, the tournament will run from August 20 through September 5, 2027, bringing world-class volleyball to five host cities across North America.

With international rivalries, Olympic implications, and a world championship on the line, the draw marks a major milestone on the journey toward volleyball’s premier global event.

Historic Tournament for North America

The 2027 edition of the Women’s Volleyball World Cup will showcase elite national teams competing across host cities in the United States and Canada. Pool play and Round of 16 matches will take place in:

  • Montreal, Quebec

  • Quebec City, Quebec

  • Omaha, Nebraska

  • Orlando, Florida

The tournament will culminate in Anaheim, California, where the quarterfinals, semifinals, bronze medal match, and championship final will be played at the Honda Center on September 5, 2027.

The event is also significant because the Honda Center will later serve as the volleyball venue for the LA28 Olympic Games.

Powerhouses and Rising Contenders Collide

Defending champion and world No. 1 Italy opens play in Omaha, while co-hosts United States and Canada begin their World Cup journeys in Orlando and Montreal, respectively. Traditional volleyball powers such as Brazil, China, Japan, Türkiye, and Serbia will also compete for the title.

The pool assignments create a mix of established contenders and emerging programs, setting the stage for compelling group-stage battles and potential upsets.

More Than a World Championship

The stakes extend beyond the World Cup trophy. The 2027 Women's Volleyball World Cup represents one of the final qualification opportunities for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. According to tournament organizers, the three highest-finishing teams not already qualified for LA28 will secure Olympic berths through the competition.

That added significance ensures every match will carry major implications on both the world and Olympic stages.

The Countdown Begins

With the draw complete, teams can now begin preparing for specific opponents and building strategies for pool play. Fans, meanwhile, can start envisioning the matchups, rivalries, and championship storylines that will unfold across North America in 2027.

Thirty-two nations. Eight pools. Five host cities. One world champion. The path to the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup title is now officially set.
