The road to one of the biggest events in international volleyball is officially taking shape. The 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup has announced its American host cities, giving fans their first look at where history will be made when the tournament comes to North America for the first time. According to the FIVB, Anaheim, California; Omaha, Nebraska; and Orlando, Florida will serve as host cities for the competition, which will feature 32 national teams from around the world.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for the tournament and reflects the continued growth of women’s volleyball across the United States and Canada, which were named co-host nations in 2025.

Landmark Event for Women’s Volleyball

The 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup will take place from August 20 through September 5, 2027, bringing together the sport’s top athletes for more than two weeks of elite competition.

The event is widely regarded as volleyball’s flagship international tournament and arrives at a moment when women’s volleyball is experiencing unprecedented momentum across both collegiate and professional levels. Organizers believe the World Cup will further elevate the sport’s profile while introducing new audiences to the excitement of international competition.

Three Host Cities, Three Unique Experiences

Each selected city will play a distinct role in the tournament’s journey toward crowning a world champion.

Omaha, Nebraska and Orlando, Florida will host pool play and Round of 16 matches, giving thousands of fans an opportunity to experience world-class volleyball firsthand. Matches will be played at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha and the Kia Center in Orlando.

Meanwhile, Anaheim, California will host the tournament’s most highly anticipated matches. The Honda Center will serve as the venue for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship matches, placing Southern California at the center of the sport’s biggest moments.

The venue also carries additional significance, as it is scheduled to host the men’s and women’s indoor volleyball competitions during the LA28 Olympic Games.
