DESLOC, a global smart lock brand under DESMAN, has launched the K140 Plus smart deadbolt featuring Palm Vein recognition technology. The next-generation lock enables contactless access by simply hovering a palm near the sensor, addressing limitations of traditional fingerprint systems.
Advanced Biometric Technology
Palm Vein recognition identifies unique vein patterns beneath the skin rather than surface fingerprints. This internal biometric data is difficult to replicate, providing enhanced protection against spoofing. Built-in liveness detection prevents unauthorized access using photos, videos, or replicas.
The technology achieves a false acceptance rate as low as 1 in 1,000,000, significantly reducing unintended unlock risks. The system works reliably even when traditional fingerprint recognition struggles, including situations involving wet, dry, oily, or worn fingers.
