Designed to provide real-time glucose readings for 15.5 days*†, Dexcom G7 15 Day will be available in the U.S. for people over the age of 18 with diabetes beginning on Dec. 1, 2025.

For millions of Americans managing diabetes, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) is an indispensable tool, but frequent sensor changes can be a constant source of hassle. DexCom, Inc., a global leader in glucose biosensing, is addressing this directly by launching the Dexcom G7 15 Day Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System in the United States on December 1, 2025.

This new system is designed to provide real-time glucose readings for an industry-leading 15.5 days, nearly doubling the wear time of previous Dexcom systems. By reducing the frequency of sensor changes, the Dexcom G7 15 Day offers users, and their caregivers, more time to focus on life and less time managing diabetes technology.

A Meaningful Step Forward in Control

The Dexcom G7 15 Day is initially launching for people over the age of 18 with diabetes who receive their CGM through durable medical equipment (DME) providers. The system is also covered for Medicare beneficiaries and meets the critical requirements for therapeutic CGM systems set forth by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

"We've heard loud and clear from our users, they want more time with the Dexcom G7 because it gives them confidence, clarity, and control over their health,” said Grant Ovzinsky, Vice President of Product Management at Dexcom. “With 15.5 days of wear, we're delivering on that ask. Fewer sensor changes mean less disruption, and more time benefiting from the most accurate CGM."

Combining Longevity with Leading Accuracy

The G7 15 Day system maintains the best-in-class accuracy that Dexcom is known for, boasting an overall MARD of 8.0%. Dexcom CGM is clinically proven to reduce hypoglycemia, increase time in range, and lower A1C, providing the data needed for informed treatment decisions.

New with Dexcom G7 15 Day:

  • Longest Wear Time: Provides 15.5 days of use, minimizing monthly waste and making diabetes management significantly easier.

  • Fewer Changes: Less disruption and a more seamless experience for users.

David Padilla, a disabled veteran living with Type 2 diabetes and a Dexcom Warrior, shared how this innovation translates to real life: “The new Dexcom G7 15 Day CGM System is going to give me, and so many others like me, more time to focus on what really matters while diabetes takes a backseat.

Integrated for Modern Life

The new system retains the G7's already robust features, designed for maximum convenience and connection:

  • Waterproof Sensor: The only waterproof CGM available, offering greater freedom for active lifestyles.

  • Smart Device Integration: Users can connect the sensor directly to their Apple Watch, allowing them to monitor glucose numbers hands-free.

  • Seamless Transition: Includes a 12-hour grace period to replace finished sensors, ensuring a continuous flow of data.

  • Connectivity: The system connects with the iLet Bionic Pancreas and Omnipod® 5 at launch, with integration with Tandem in progress.

By prioritizing longevity without sacrificing the leading accuracy and innovative features of the G7 platform, Dexcom is solidifying its commitment to empowering people with diabetes to live life on their terms.
