Donatos Pizza, the premium pizza franchise famous for its abundantly topped pizzas spread Edge to Edge® – is making moves in Texas with the announcement of three active franchise groups focused on developing throughout the Houston area.
There’s a new heavy hitter entering the Texas pizza scene. Donatos Pizza, the premium Midwest franchise famous for its thin-crust pizzas and toppings that stretch Edge to Edge®, has officially announced its debut in the Houston area.
This strategic move marks a major milestone for the family-owned brand as it sets its sights on becoming a household name across the Lone Star State. With three active franchise development groups already on board, Donatos is prepared to bring its signature style to one of the most competitive and thriving food markets in the country.
A Summer Debut in Houston
Residents of Houston won't have to wait long to get a taste of the Midwest's finest. Donatos expects to open 2-3 locations in the Houston area this year, with the very first slated to open its doors in the summer of 2026.

The Texas Growth Strategy
The Houston announcement is just the tip of the iceberg for Donatos’ Texas takeover. Following successful openings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area over the past year, the brand is aggressively pursuing immediate market opportunities in DFW, Waco, and across East Texas.
The long-term vision is ambitious: Donatos aims to open over 100 locations throughout Texas over the next several years.
