FIFA and Globant sign expanded partnership to deliver innovative digital services.

The world's most popular sport is embarking on an ambitious digital transformation. FIFA and Globant, a digitally native company specializing in innovative technology solutions, have announced a major expansion of their partnership, committing to a multi-year agreement to accelerate how football is experienced in the digital era.

Building on a successful four-year collaboration, Globant will now deliver a broad portfolio of IT solutions, software, and digital platform development services across FIFA's entire ecosystem. This strategic alliance is designed to create deeper connections, richer experiences, and more personalized journeys for the millions of fans worldwide ahead of the biggest tournaments in football history.

A Digital Upgrade for Global Tournaments

The timing of this agreement is crucial. The partnership encompasses two history-making events: the FIFA World Cup 2026™, set to be the largest standalone sporting event in history and hosted across three nations (Canada, Mexico, and the United States), and the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027™, which will be hosted in Brazil for the first time ever in South America.

Globant’s expanded role includes serving as a Tournament Supporter in North America and Europe for both World Cups. Their mandate is to enhance FIFA’s digital platforms, including the core FIFA+ streaming platform, FIFA.com, and the official mobile applications that power these tournaments. They will also support other key competitions, including the FIFAe Finals 2025 in Saudi Arabia and the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027™.

"Technology can amplify the power of sport – enabling deeper connections, richer experiences and more personalised journeys for fans around the world," said Martin Migoya, co-founder and CEO of Globant.

Reimagining the Fan Experience

The core focus of this collaboration is to make football more interactive and inclusive through superior digital services. Globant, which has been recognized as a Worldwide Leader in Experience Design Services, will be instrumental in deploying solutions that gather, analyze, and leverage data to provide personalized content and enhanced match viewing experiences.

FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström underscored the shared vision: "This new agreement between FIFA and Globant reflects each organisation's vision to reimagine how football is experienced in the digital era, while preserving the emotion, community and global reach that bring the game to every corner of the world."

By applying its expertise in digital reinvention and enterprise AI, Globant will help FIFA create digital services that are more engaging and enjoyable for fans, ensuring the emotion and community of the game are perfectly translated to the digital realm. This deeper collaboration promises to strengthen FIFA's digital ecosystem, allowing the global governing body to better serve its massive international audience and preserve the game's universal appeal.
