Apartment Collection by Hilton will be available for booking through Hilton channels in the first half of 2026, with initial properties in the U.S. launched in partnership with Placemakr.

As the line between business travel, digital nomadism, and leisure continues to blur, the world’s largest hotel brands are evolving to capture a new type of guest. Today, Hilton announced the launch of Apartment Collection by Hilton, a new lodging category designed to offer furnished apartment-style accommodations with the reliability of hotel-grade service.

The new brand is set to debut in the first half of 2026, launching initially in the United States through a strategic partnership with Placemakr, an operator specializing in flexible, short-term apartment stays.

Bridging the Gap Between Home and Hotel

The Apartment Collection is Hilton’s answer to the rising demand for spacious, multi-bedroom accommodations that don't compromise on professional service. These units will range from studios to four-bedroom apartments, making them suitable for everything from extended work trips to large family reunions.

Key features of the collection include:

  • Chef-Ready Kitchens: Full cooking facilities in every unit.

  • Spacious Living Areas: Separate zones for work and relaxation.

  • On-Site Amenities: 24/7 on-site support from dedicated team members, fitness centers, and, in select properties, rooftop terraces and communal workspaces.

“Apartment Collection by Hilton represents the next chapter in Hilton's growth story,” said Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton. “We are continuing to pioneer the future of the hospitality industry, giving guests even more ways to choose Hilton for every stay.”

Strategic Partnership with Placemakr

To accelerate the rollout, Hilton is leveraging Placemakr’s established network and operational model. Placemakr specializes in partnering with multi-family building owners to convert either entire buildings or a subset of units into furnished short-term rentals.

The partnership is expected to add as many as 3,000 new units to Hilton’s existing global inventory of 10,000 apartment-style accommodations. Initial properties will be available in key metropolitan markets, including New York City, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.

Integration with Hilton Honors

As with all Hilton brands, the Apartment Collection will be fully integrated into the Hilton Honors loyalty program. The 235 million members of the program will be able to book, earn, and redeem points for these apartment stays, providing a level of reliability and "peace of mind" often missing from independent short-term rental platforms.

The "Asset-Light" Hospitality Pivot

For hotel giants in 2026, the goal is no longer just to own buildings; it’s to own the experience of the stay. By partnering with multi-family owners and tech-enabled operators like Placemakr, Hilton is successfully pivoting to an "asset-light" model that allows them to scale rapidly into the short-term rental market without the overhead of traditional hotel construction. In a world of "flexible living," Hilton is ensuring that no matter how long the stay, the host is always a name the guest trusts.
