HomeGoods Kicks Off Third Annual 'Deck the Everything Day' With Tia and Tamera

Sisters Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry-Housley partner with HomeGoods to ring in Deck the Everything Day and celebrate early holiday decorators everywhere on November 1.
For a select group of holiday enthusiasts, the season doesn't start with Thanksgiving—it begins the minute Halloween is over. These are the early decorators, the planners, and the unapologetic lovers of all things festive, and HomeGoods is dedicating an entire holiday just for them: the third annual Deck the Everything Day on November 1st.
This year, the celebration comes with a special invitation: shoppers are encouraged to shed their everyday personas and embrace their inner HomeGoods Holiday Carol—the spirited alter ego that demands glittery garlands, whimsical characters, and a whole lot of cheer, all before the turkey is carved.
Battling the "Deck Shame"
HomeGoods' own research shows that early decorators face a surprisingly common enemy: judgment. A recent survey revealed that nearly two-thirds (63%) of people feel that early decorating comes with negative perceptions—a feeling that has actually grown since last year.
That’s why Deck the Everything Day was created: to flip the script and empower the 72% of early decorators who feel a special, festive side of them awakens during the holidays. This year, the brand has teamed up with beloved sister duo, actresses, and television personalities Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry-Housley, to encourage everyone to discover and celebrate their unique Holiday Carol style.
Decoding Your Inner Holiday Carol
The campaign highlights that decorating is a chance to unleash a festive alter ego, which comes in many unique forms thanks to HomeGoods’ constantly rotating inventory:
Pretty in Pinkmas Carol: The devotee of glittery garlands, bows, and unapologetic pink accents.
Pining for Plaid Carol: The lover of classic ornaments, cozy nostalgia, and timeless holiday textures.
Winter Whimsy Carol: The shopper drawn to serene, soft textures, sparkly magic, and calming winter whites and blues.
The Mowry sisters offered a glimpse into their own personas:
Tia Mowry identifies as the "Winter Whimsy Carol," focusing on creating spaces that feel "serene yet magical," using soft textures, sparkle, and wintry blues.
Tamera Mowry-Housley embraces the "Evergreen Icon Carol," prioritizing cozy nostalgia, family traditions, and classic holiday touches like plaid throws and the scent of gingerbread.
