Live Celebrity Staged Readings in Dallas, Cleveland, and L.A. to Follow to Raise Awareness of Aortic Health.
Nearly five decades after Three’s Company first debuted on television, the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health is launching a nationwide celebration to honor the show's lasting impact on popular culture. The initiative marks the sitcom's upcoming 50th anniversary on March 15, 2027, with a multi-city tour featuring celebrity-led live readings of the show's original pilot episode.
Called the"Come and Knock On Our Door" tour, the celebration will travel to four cities: New York, Dallas, Cleveland, and Los Angeles. Each stop will feature special guests and performances designed to bring the iconic comedy back to life for longtime fans while supporting an important health-related mission.
The tour is being organized with support from DLT Entertainment Ltd. and serves as both a tribute to the show's enduring popularity and a fundraising effort for aortic disease awareness and research.
New York City Kicks Off the Anniversary Tour
The first event in the national celebration will take place in New York City on November 2, 2026, during the Foundation's annual Evening From The Heart fundraiser at Joe's Pub.
The evening will be co-hosted by Amy Yasbeck, actor John Ritter's widow and founder of the Foundation, alongside original Three’s Company cast member Joyce DeWitt.
Adding to the nostalgia, actor Jason Biggs will take on the role of Jack Tripper for the live reading, while original cast member Richard Kline, known for portraying Larry Dallas, will return as the event's narrator. Additional celebrity participants are expected to be announced at a later date.
Honoring John Ritter’s Legacy
While the tour celebrates one of television's most recognizable sitcoms, it is also deeply connected to the mission of the Foundation established in John Ritter's memory.
Ritter died in 2003 after suffering an acute aortic dissection that was initially misdiagnosed. Following his death, the Foundation was created to help prevent premature deaths from thoracic aortic disease through research, education, advocacy, and increased public awareness.
According to Amy Yasbeck, the anniversary celebration represents an opportunity to honor the joy Ritter brought to audiences while advancing the Foundation's goal of saving lives through improved awareness and research.
Combining Entertainment With Health Advocacy
The upcoming events are designed to balance nostalgia with purpose. Fans will have the opportunity to revisit the humor and chemistry that made Three’s Company a television classic while learning more about the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of aortic conditions.
Funds raised during the tour will support ongoing research initiatives and programs that assist patients and families affected by aortic disease. The Foundation hopes the high-profile anniversary celebration will help reach new audiences and expand awareness of a condition that often goes undetected until it becomes life-threatening.
A Celebration With Lasting Impact
As Three’s Company approaches its 50th anniversary, the multi-city tour offers fans a unique opportunity to celebrate the sitcom's cultural legacy while supporting a meaningful cause. Through live performances, special celebrity appearances, and fundraising efforts, the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health is transforming a television milestone into an opportunity for education, advocacy, and remembrance.
For longtime viewers, the tour will be a chance to relive a beloved chapter of television history. For the Foundation, it represents an important step toward ensuring that John Ritter's legacy continues to make a difference far beyond the screen.
