Target names Mark Weinstein Chief Marketing and Guest Experience Officer.

Target Corporation has announced the appointment of Mark Weinstein as its new Chief Marketing and Guest Experience Officer, effective immediately. Reporting directly to CEO Michael Fiddelke, Weinstein will play a pivotal role in shaping Target’s next chapter of growth by enhancing how millions of consumers experience, engage with, and connect to the iconic brand.

A Strategic Leader Joining at a Critical Moment

As Target continues evolving its omnichannel experience, Fiddelke emphasized the importance of deepening guest understanding and engagement.

“Deepening how we know and engage our guests will be critical to our success,” he said. “Mark has a proven ability to understand what consumers value and turn those insights into brand connections that feel relevant and personal.”

Weinstein’s appointment reflects Target’s commitment to strengthening loyalty, modernizing brand touchpoints, and delivering experiences that feel unmistakably Target, whether in stores, online, or across cultural and community moments.

A Global Marketing Background Rooted in Consumer Insight

Weinstein joins Target from Hilton, where he served as Global Chief Marketing Officer across all 28 brands and led Hilton Honors as well as the company’s luxury portfolio. His career has centered on building consumer‑first brands, developing platforms that strengthen loyalty, and creating experiences that drive long‑term growth.

At Hilton, Weinstein oversaw global brand strategy, marketing, loyalty, and guest experience, expertise that aligns directly with Target’s focus on delivering a cohesive, connected experience across every consumer interaction.

Elevating Every Experience Touchpoint

In his new role, Weinstein will shape a more unified and connected brand experience across:

  • Discovery and shopping journeys

  • Target’s cultural presence and community engagement

  • Roundel, Target’s retail media network

  • Target+, the company’s curated third‑party marketplace

His leadership will help Target deepen existing relationships, welcome new guests, and strengthen the brand’s relevance in an increasingly competitive retail landscape.

Weinstein expressed enthusiasm about joining the company, noting Target’s unique blend of familiarity and surprise: “Target is an iconic brand with the rare ability to be both deeply familiar and continually surprising. We have an enormous opportunity to bring the brand to life across every interaction with consumers.”
