OrthoArizona, one of the nation's premier orthopedic groups and trusted provider of elite athletes, announced it is bringing NFL Combine Prep to Arizona through a new partnership with Training HAUS.

For decades, the path to the NFL Draft has often led through the cold-weather training facilities of the Midwest. But as the 2026 draft cycle kicks into high gear, a major shift is happening in the sports performance landscape.

OrthoArizona, a premier provider of musculoskeletal care and team physician for the Arizona Cardinals, has officially partnered with Training HAUS to bring world-class NFL Combine Prep to Arizona. The move represents a "Training HAUS West" expansion, pairing Minnesota’s legendary performance philosophy with Arizona’s optimal year-round training conditions.

A Legacy of Stars

Training HAUS isn't just another gym; it is a performance lab that has developed some of the most iconic names in professional sports. Under the leadership of Director Bill Welle, the program has been a training home for stars like Larry Fitzgerald, Travis Kelce, and Joe Alt (the 2024 5th overall pick).

By bringing this elite infrastructure to Scottsdale, OrthoArizona is providing a seamless environment where draft prospects and free agents can prepare for the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.

The Science of the "Combine Ready" Athlete

The 12-week immersive program, which began in late December, is built on a "physician-led" philosophy. Unlike traditional strength programs, this partnership integrates high-level sports medicine with performance optimization.

The Scottsdale facility offers a comprehensive lab that includes:

  • Position-Specific Coaching: Specialized training for quarterbacks and offensive linemen (led by former NFL veteran Alex Boone).

  • Biomechanics & Movement Optimization: Using science-based methods to refine explosiveness and prevent injury.

  • Holistic Recovery: On-site nutrition planning, chef-prepared meals, pilates, and yoga tailored to the needs of elite athletes.

“World-class athletes require elite infrastructure,” said Dr. Rajan Bhatt, CEO of OrthoArizona. “OrthoArizona has built an environment designed to support performance at the very highest level.”

Why Arizona?

While the program maintains its original base in Eagan, Minnesota (in conjunction with Twin Cities Orthopedics), the expansion to the Southwest was driven by athlete demand for warmer climates. The partnership between OrthoArizona and Training HAUS was a natural fit, as both organizations serve as official team physicians for their respective NFL franchises, the Cardinals and the Vikings.

“We recognized that climate was becoming a limiting factor for many athletes,” noted Bill Welle. “This partnership allows us to bring Training HAUS West while maintaining the same physician-led philosophy that has driven our success.”

Preparing for the Big Stage

With the NFL Combine and the 2026 Draft just months away, the eyes of the football world are on the prospects currently training in Scottsdale. As OrthoArizona continues to invest in its sports medicine footprint across the Phoenix area, this partnership cements Arizona’s reputation as a premier destination for the next generation of NFL stars.
