Pro Shop Brands
Pro Shop, the media platform focused on connecting golf with mainstream culture, has secured $24 million in Series B funding to support its next stage of growth. The financing round was led by Arthur M. Blank Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE) and includes new investors Causeway Media Partners and Ares Sports, Media and Entertainment, alongside returning investors including PGA TOUR, Powerhouse Capital, and Phoenix Capital Ventures.
The company plans to use the new capital to expand its presence across digital media, original content, live events, commerce, and strategic partnerships as it continues to grow its audience and brand portfolio.
Building a Multi-Platform Golf Media Business
Since launching just over two years ago, Pro Shop has evolved into a diversified media, entertainment, and commerce company. Its business now spans premium film and television projects, creator-led digital content, live competitions, community-building initiatives, and consumer-focused brands.
According to Chad Mumm, Co-Founder and President of Pro Shop, the company was founded on the belief that golf was entering a new era where fans would engage with the sport through a broader range of platforms, communities, and experiences. The company’s growth strategy centers on meeting modern golf audiences wherever they consume content and creating new pathways into the game.
The latest investment will enable Pro Shop to continue developing talent-led content franchises, premium programming, and social-first media experiences designed for younger and digitally engaged audiences.
Investing in Content, Live Events, and Commerce
The Series B funding will support several strategic growth initiatives, including:
Expansion of digital media and original programming
Development of new creator- and talent-driven franchises
Launch of premium live events and competition formats
Growth of owned-and-operated media properties
Expansion of commerce businesses
Strategic acquisitions and partnerships across golf, media, and technology
The company believes these investments will help strengthen its position at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and consumer culture.
Growth Reflects Golf’s Broader Popularity Surge
Pro Shop’s momentum mirrors larger trends in the golf industry. As golf continues to attract younger and more diverse audiences, engagement is increasingly happening through streaming platforms, creators, social media, fashion, equipment brands, and alternative competition formats.
Today, Pro Shop reports reaching more than 35 million unique users across its portfolio while also achieving year-over-year revenue growth that has doubled.
These figures underscore the growing demand for content and experiences that extend beyond traditional tournament coverage and appeal to golf fans through culture, entertainment, and lifestyle storytelling.
Strategic Backing From Sports and Media Investors
The investment round also signals confidence from major players in the sports and media sectors. As part of AMBSE’s lead investment, Troy Rice, CEO of PGA TOUR Superstore, will join Pro Shop’s board of directors.
Rice noted that golf has become one of the fastest-growing sports in America, with audiences discovering and engaging with the game in increasingly diverse ways. The investment reflects a belief that media platforms connecting golf with broader cultural trends have significant room for growth.
Looking Ahead
With fresh funding, a rapidly growing audience, and an expanding portfolio of content and commerce businesses, Pro Shop is positioning itself to play a larger role in shaping how modern fans experience golf.
By investing in original programming, creator-led content, live competitions, and consumer brands, the company aims to extend golf’s reach beyond the fairway and into mainstream culture, creating new opportunities for fans, athletes, and partners alike
