SNEEX, the hybrid heel brand Blakely founded in 2024, just unveiled its first sandal: The Charlie Hy-Heel Sandal. Powered by the brand's proprietary INNERPLAY™ technology, it's an open-toe high heel engineered with the same performance innovation that made SNEEX's original sneaker-heel hybrid a category-creating hit. For anyone who's ever had to choose between looking good and actually being able to walk at the end of the night, this launch is personal.
The Problem With Strappy Heels
Blakely has never been shy about what SNEEX is trying to solve, and with sandals, the challenge is even more exposed. Literally. As she put it: "Strappy heels are tricky… every wobble, pressure point, and uncomfortable strap is exposed." There's nowhere to hide the discomfort in an open-toe design, which is exactly why it took engineering innovation rather than just aesthetic intention to get it right.
The Charlie Sandal delivers that innovation through SNEEX INNERPLAY™, a patent-pending system built on layers of Supercritical Foam and a responsive support architecture designed to reduce pressure on the ball of the foot, absorb impact, and minimize foot and leg fatigue over the course of a full day. The stiletto silhouette is sleek and sculptural from the outside. What's happening on the inside is a different story entirely.
A fully adjustable triple-strap design adds another layer of fit that traditional strappy sandals simply don't offer, a tailored, personalized feel that moves with the wearer rather than against her.
Named for a Kid Who Doesn't Slow Down
The sandal is named after Blakely's son Charlie, whose default setting she describes as "GO," a detail that says a lot about what SNEEX is actually selling. Not just a shoe, but a mindset. The Details
The Charlie launches with a three-inch heel in five colorways, Petal, Mirror, Dune, Black, and Eclipse, and features SNEEX's signature tread. It's available exclusively at Sneex.com for $395.
The launch follows a remarkable two-year run for the brand. Since debuting in August 2024, SNEEX has earned the Footwear News Achievement Award for Launch of the Year, the Global Footwear Awards overall winner for Women's Fashion Sneakers, and a 2026 ACE Award. Blakely herself was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame this year, recognition that places the SNEEX concept squarely in the conversation about meaningful, lasting innovation.
