Terry Crews will host Crews Control, an 18-episode YouTube series exploring global motorsport culture, launching May 5, 2026. Produced by Box to Box Films, the award-winning team behind Formula 1: Drive to Survive, and powered by TWG Motorsports' presence across Formula 1, INDYCAR, and NASCAR, the series positions itself as a cultural exploration of racing rather than a competition-focused program.

Crews Control centers on the Cadillac Formula 1 Team while extending across the broader TWG Motorsports portfolio. Each eight-to-ten-minute episode follows Crews as he engages with motorsport culture, paddock dynamics, and fan communities, aiming to explain Formula 1's rapid growth among American audiences through an accessible entertainment lens.

Series Structure and Cultural Approach

The series takes viewers through various Formula 1 race locations including Melbourne, Miami, Las Vegas, and Austin, positioning Crews as an American guide interpreting why each race venue creates distinct cultural experiences. The programming extends beyond Formula 1 to include coverage of the Indianapolis 500 with Andretti Global and NASCAR through Spire Motorsports, connecting different racing disciplines under the TWG Motorsports umbrella.

"TWG Motorsports was built on a singular belief that motorsport has unmatched power in sport and culture, and its best stories are still waiting to be told," said Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports. "Crews Control brings that to life – a can't-miss journey anchored by the Cadillac Formula 1 Team and extending across many series we compete in, told through one of entertainment's most compelling voices."

The series grounds itself in Crews' personal connection to General Motors, where his father worked. General Motors serves as co-owner in the Cadillac Formula 1 Team alongside TWG Motorsports, creating a narrative thread connecting Crews' family history to the current partnership structure.

Content Strategy and Distribution

"Motorsport is the biggest world most Americans have never stepped inside, and I'm about to change that," Crews stated. "This isn't just one series; it's an entire universe. Crews Control isn't about lap times and standings. It's about the culture, the obsession, and the people who live and breathe it. I'm bringing America into a world that's faster, louder, and more alive than they ever imagined."

Beyond the flagship YouTube series, promotional content, teasers, and behind-the-scenes material will distribute across Cadillac Formula 1 Team's official social media channels and those of its racing series partners. This multi-platform ecosystem aims to amplify each episode and drive fan engagement across multiple touchpoints.

The production approach emphasizes human stories and cultural context rather than technical racing analysis. Paul Martin, CEO of Box to Box Films, framed the series around Crews' curiosity and presence rather than racing expertise.

Production Partnership and Execution

"Collaborating with Terry on Crews Control allowed us to build a series around his irresistible curiosity and commanding presence," Martin said. "He doesn't simply observe racing – he connects deeply with engineers, drivers and fans, uncovering the human stories at the heart of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team and TWG Motorsports. The result is cinematic and precise, grounded in real emotion, and unmistakably Terry: funny, earnest and relentlessly curious."

Box to Box Films brings experience from Drive to Survive, which has been credited with significantly expanding Formula 1's American audience through accessible storytelling focused on personalities and drama rather than purely competitive elements. Crews Control appears positioned to leverage similar narrative strategies while featuring an American celebrity host as the primary lens.
