The Coca-Cola Company and FIFA are kicking off the sixth FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, giving thousands of fans across the globe the opportunity to see the original FIFA World Cup™ Trophy ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™.

For millions of football fans worldwide, the simple sight of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy is the ultimate symbol of global sporting achievement. As excitement builds for the historic FIFA World Cup 2026™ across North America, the official global countdown has begun.

The Coca-Cola Company and FIFA are preparing to kick off the highly anticipated sixth edition of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, embarking on a 150-day journey that will connect fans to the "magic of the game" like never before.

Celebrating Two Decades of Fan Magic

The 2026 tour holds special significance as it marks the 20th anniversary of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola. Over the past two decades, this initiative has allowed more than four million fans across 182 markets to witness football’s most coveted prize up close.

The original FIFA World Cup Trophy, a solid gold icon weighing 6.175 kg, is typically reserved for only a select group of people, including former winners, Heads of State, and the FIFA President. This tour provides an extraordinary opportunity for fans to share in the passion and history of the sport.

“For two decades, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola has been a journey that connects fans to the magic of the game,” said Mickael Vinet, vice president of global assets, influencers and partnerships at The Coca-Cola Company. “As the Trophy travels toward the biggest FIFA World Cup in history, we’re celebrating the passion, pride, and unity that make football the world’s favorite sport.”

The Journey Begins: A Global Sprint

The epic journey is set to kick off on January 3, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. From there, the Trophy will visit 30 FIFA Member Associations, spanning 75 stops across more than 150 tour days.

The route is tailored to build momentum for the 2026 tournament, which is set to be the largest in history, spanning three host nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tour will visit all three host countries, alongside future host nations like Morocco, Portugal, Spain, and Brazil.

More Than Just a Photo Op

At each stop, the tour is promising much more than a glimpse of the gold trophy. Local communities will be treated to unique fan engagement opportunities, including:

  • Immersive brand experiences.

  • Interactive football challenges.

  • Exclusive content featuring appearances by FIFA Legends.

Beyond the celebration, the tour is also a platform for positive change. The Coca-Cola Company will partner with local teams and bottling partners to support sustainability initiatives, focusing on packaging collection and recycling efforts in communities visited along the way.

As FIFA’s Chief Business Officer, Romy Gai, noted, “The FIFA World Cup Trophy is recognized around the world as the greatest symbol in sport... this tour will be particularly special, not only are we marking the 20th anniversary of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, but we are also preparing for the biggest FIFA World Cup in history.”

The countdown is on, and the world is ready to follow the Trophy as it travels toward the biggest show in football history.
