Universal Music Group (UMG), in partnership with UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle, its entertainment driven hospitality venture, announced the opening of two new UMusic Shop locations in New York and London.

The relationship between artists and fans has always transcended digital streaming. Recognizing the powerful demand for physical connection and immersive cultural experiences, Universal Music Group (UMG), the world leader in music-based entertainment, has announced a major expansion of its global retail footprint with the opening of two new UMusic Shop locations in New York and London.

These spaces, developed in partnership with UMG’s UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle venture, are dedicated to reimagining the fan experience, seamlessly blending music, style, and design into new cultural hubs.

UMusic Shop NY: A Manhattan Hub

The UMusic Shop NY officially opened today, Wednesday, December 10, at 2 Penn Plaza. This location marks UMG's first permanent brick-and-mortar superfan retail experience in North America. The aim is to create a new cultural hub for music and style right in the heart of Manhattan.

The store is launching with a special holiday transformation, featuring exclusive merchandise, vinyl, and accessories from UMG’s iconic artist roster, including global superstars like Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Elton John, and The Rolling Stones.

To celebrate the opening, UMusic Shop NY immediately partnered with New York’s own Awake NY on an exclusive capsule collection, the UMG x Awake NY "Music Is Universal" drop, available only at the shop. The space will also host fan-driven pop-ups, premiering with events honoring the songs of Neil Diamond and Republic Records artist Conan Gray.

UMusic Shop Camden: Capturing London’s Creative Spirit

Across the pond, the UMusic Shop Camden is set to open on Tuesday, December 16, bringing the retail experience to one of London’s most iconic cultural districts.

Designed to capture Camden's rebellious spirit and deep musical roots, the space will serve as a creative hub where music, fashion, and design collide. The shop will feature exclusive artist collections, immersive installations, live performances, and premium experiential zones, including a Vinyl Lounge and a recording studio-inspired Sound Room that allows fans to experience music like never before.

Expanding the Global Fan Community

These new locations build on the success of earlier UMusic Shop launches in Madrid and in the heart of Tokyo's vibrant Harajuku district. The strategy is clear: provide physical spaces that foster a deeper connection between artists and their audience.

As Susan Mazo, EVP & Chief Impact Officer at Universal Music Group, stated, the launch "further expands on our longstanding commitment to enhancing the ability of UMG's iconic roster of artists, labels, songwriters, and brands to connect with their fans through exclusive experiences, merchandise, and bespoke collections."

Both New York and London hold "rich and deep connections with music culture," Mazo added, underscoring that these new shops are set to become vital hubs where fans, artists, and brands connect through the universal language of music. These retail destinations solidify UMG's vision for cultivating an expanding, global fan community that extends far beyond digital streams.
