ororo and USABS are partnering to design a new limited edition collection, set to be released late November 2026.

ororo Heated Apparel and USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS) have renewed their long-standing partnership, extending their relationship through the 2029-30 season. Under the agreement, ororo will continue serving as the organization's Official Heated Apparel Partner, supplying athletes and coaches with heated gear for both training and competition.

The renewal marks the continuation of a collaboration that has supported American bobsled and skeleton athletes over the past four years and comes as the team begins preparing for the next Olympic cycle leading to 2030.

As part of the partnership, the organizations are also developing a new limited-edition collection of co-branded apparel scheduled for release in late November 2026.

Why Heated Apparel Matters in Sliding Sports

For bobsled and skeleton athletes, staying warm is about far more than comfort. Competitors often spend extended periods waiting at the top of icy tracks in sub-freezing temperatures before being called to perform explosive starts that can determine race outcomes.

Cold temperatures can create several performance challenges, including:

  • Reduced muscle flexibility

  • Stiffness between runs

  • Cold hands that affect readiness

  • Difficulty maintaining optimal physical condition

Ororo's battery-powered heated apparel is designed to help athletes stay warm and physically prepared during training sessions and competitions, allowing them to focus on performance rather than weather conditions.

According to the organizations, maintaining warmth between runs can play an important role in helping athletes remain loose and ready when it's time to push off the start line.

Supporting the Road to 2030

The extended agreement arrives during an important period for USA Bobsled/Skeleton. The organization is entering a new competitive cycle that includes major international events, including the 2029 IBSF World Championships in Park City.

Both organizations expect the continued partnership to provide athletes with the equipment they need as they pursue podium finishes around the world and prepare for future Olympic competition.

The partnership also reflects the growing role that specialized performance apparel plays in elite winter sports, where even small advantages can make a meaningful difference.

Four-Year Relationship Continues

Mark H., CEO of ororo, highlighted the company's pride in supporting Team USA athletes throughout training, competition, and everyday preparation. He noted that the brand's heated apparel is designed to be durable, comfortable, and adaptable enough to meet the demands of world-class athletes competing in extreme conditions.

The company's product lineup includes heated vests, jackets, pants, gloves, socks, and accessories designed for a wide range of environments and users.

Looking Ahead

Aron McGuire, CEO of USA Bobsled/Skeleton, emphasized that the partnership has been valuable since its inception because ororo understood the unique requirements of sliding-sport athletes from the start. He noted that staying warm between runs directly impacts athlete preparation and performance.

With a renewed agreement in place, a new apparel collection on the horizon, and preparations already underway for future international competitions, the partnership ensures that Team USA athletes will continue to receive specialized support as they pursue success throughout the upcoming winter sports cycle.
