Well People Partners with Arbor Day Foundation on California Wildfire Restoration
HEALTH & BEAUTY

Guided by EWG VERIFIED® standards and pregnancy-friendly formulas, Well People elevates plant-powered beauty into purposeful impact.
Well People has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant thousands of trees in California regions devastated by wildfires. The collaboration brings together the clean beauty brand owned by e.l.f. Beauty and the global nonprofit organization in a reforestation effort that translates consumer purchases into environmental impact.
The Oakland-based company announced it will fund the planting of approximately 25,380 trees in areas affected by California wildfires. The trees will specifically support restoration efforts following the Dixie Fire, helping rebuild healthy forests, protect wildlife habitat, and safeguard water sources.
Pioneer in Plant-Powered Beauty
Well People has been creating high-performance clean cosmetics and skin care powered by plants since 2008. The brand holds more than 100 Environmental Working Group Verified products, making it the most EWG Verified cosmetics brand in its category. The EWG certification represents one of the highest standards of clean in the beauty industry.
"Nature has always been our greatest inspiration," said Shirley Pinkson Manas, Co-founder of Well People. "We founded Well People on the belief that high-performance, plant-powered clean beauty should care for both your skin and the planet. Our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation is an extension of that belief, helping us give back in a way that supports a healthier future for all."
From Products to Planetary Impact
The partnership extends Well People's mission beyond beauty products into hands-on reforestation work. The donation to the Arbor Day Foundation will help restore forest ecosystems in California, where wildfires have caused significant environmental damage in recent years.
"Trees are one of the most powerful tools we have for restoring balance in nature," said Dan Morrow, Vice President of Partnerships at the Arbor Day Foundation. "Through this partnership with Well People, we are able to translate everyday consumer choices into meaningful reforestation impact. The trees planted will help restore ecosystems, strengthen biodiversity and rebuild communities."
